Meditation and Mom-ditation

Good thing too that I got to meditate and practice A LOT in my teen years, twenties and early thirties- once I became a mom, I either grab sometime for myself hiding in my closet to meditate or in my altar while being climbed by my children (a very ancient and challenging form of meditation, I hear;). Having them draw on me while I meditate can be quite soothing too ( mostly because keeps them busy with something, anything, and I get to be within for a bit). As a whole I love my mom-ditation. I also love that seeing their mom taking care of herself and meditating is pretty much as part of their routine as it is seeing me brushing my teeth. My hope is that these are memories that will transmute into future inspiration for them. Perhaps, in many years from now, I come to visit my grandkids and find my daughters mom-ditating her way in…
